Everything you need to know about temporary email

What is TempMail Ninja and what is it for?

TempMail Ninja lets you create disposable email addresses without signing up. In seconds you get a temporary inbox to receive—and, in some cases, send emails—while keeping your real address private.

Use it for forms, downloads, trials, or whenever you prefer to avoid spam and protect your identity.

What is a temporary email?

A disposable email address created for short-term use that self-deletes after a set period. No personal data required and your real inbox stays protected.

  • Perfect for quick sign-ups and testing.
  • Reduces spam and data exposure.
  • Easy to discard without impacting your main inbox.

How long does my temporary email last?

We offer several lifespans:

  • Public domains: up to 3 months.
  • Private domains (registered users): up to 8 months.

After expiry, the address is invalid and can no longer send or receive emails.

Can I choose the domain for my email?

Yes. You can select from:

  • Public domains: available to everyone; up to 3 months.
  • Private domains: for users logged in with Google; up to 8 months and typically fewer blocks.
  • Premium domains: in development with additional features planned.

How does the inbox work?

Messages are listed chronologically. When opening a message you can:

  • Read HTML/TXT content.
  • See sender, subject, date and basic metadata.
  • Download attachments (if any).

Retention: messages auto-delete after 48 hours. You may delete them earlier manually.

Can I send emails from my temporary address?

Yes. From the “Send message” page you can compose and send. Limitations:

  • Rate: 1 email per hour per address.
  • Retention: sent emails auto-delete after 48 hours.
  • Delivery: not guaranteed; some providers apply strict anti-spam filters.

For better deliverability, prefer private domains when available.

Differences between registered and non-registered users

  • Registered (Google): private domains, reply to messages, send attachments, and manage up to 25 addresses.
  • Non-registered: public domains only and up to 10 addresses stored.

Registration unlocks more features and typically improves acceptance.

Can I customize my temporary email?

Yes. From your dashboard you can:

  • Set a custom alias.
  • Choose the domain available to your user type.
  • Protect access with a Password (optional).

How do I protect my address with a password?

Enable the Password option in your dashboard. Important:

  • Passwords are not recoverable.
  • If you forget it, you will lose access to that inbox (privacy-first design).

What happens if I remove or delete an address?

  • Remove from list: the address remains active; it is simply hidden from your panel.
  • Delete permanently: the address is erased and can no longer send or receive emails.

Why do some services not deliver to temporary addresses?

Some platforms block disposable addresses to reduce abuse. Tips:

  • Prefer private domains if you're registered—they are less likely to be filtered.
  • Avoid uses that may violate the recipient's terms of service.

Is it safe to use a temporary email?

Yes. We don't request personal data and you can create anonymous addresses. Adding a password increases access security.

Still, avoid sending highly sensitive data: the goal is practical privacy and spam reduction.

Exact difference between “Delete” and “Remove from list”

Remove: only hides the address from your dashboard; the inbox remains usable.

Delete permanently: removes the inbox; it cannot be used again and its content is lost.

Can I use TempMail Ninja on multiple devices?

Yes. It works on modern desktop and mobile browsers. No installation required.

Why are some domains retired from the platform?

To rotate and refresh inventory:

  • Public: retired after ~3 months.
  • Private: up to ~8 months.

Once retired, they are no longer available to create new addresses.

How often are new domains added?

  • Public: one per week.
  • Private: one per month for registered users.

Is using disposable email legal?

Yes. It's a legitimate privacy tool. Note some services may refuse it for sign-ups or subscriptions.

How can I recover a previously created address?

From your dashboard, as long as the address is still within its validity period. If it was password-protected, you will need that password.

I forgot my temporary address—what can I do?

Check your dashboard: if the address is still active, it will be listed. If it was password-protected and you forgot the password, it is not recoverable.

Do you offer 10-minute emails?

Yes. The 10-minute email auto-deletes after the time is up. Limitations:

  • No sending capability.
  • No customization (alias/domain).

Best-practice usage

  • Use the service responsibly and follow the Terms & Conditions.
  • Avoid abuse that could hurt deliverability.
  • Prefer private domains when you need better acceptance.
